Biography
Aubrey Wigner is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering, Design, & Society. He specializes in hands-on project-based learning, entrepreneurship, and making. Before joining Mines, he was an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University in the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the Department of Management where he taught design, digital prototyping, and new venture creation. His research is primarily concerned with best practices in project-based learning and the assessment of education outcomes.
Aubrey is an active maker, tinkerer, and cross disciplinary designer with a broad range of interests. At Mines he teaches Cornerstone, Capstone, design, and entrepreneurship. He challenges his students to engage with complexity and ambiguity while tackling real world problems.
