Biography
Guannan Liu is a newly appointed assistant professor at CS@Mines. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2023, and his BS degree from Purdue University in 2016. His research interests include System and Network Security, Human-Factor Security, and User Authentication. Leveraging systematic and comprehensive measurement techniques, he has investigated various online services to uncover vulnerabilities led by resource mismanagement.
The discovered vulnerabilities have been disclosed to large tech companies, and the research results have been published in top-tier security venues.
