Biography
Kelsey Fulton is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines. Their research applies a human-centric approach to secure software development with an emphasis on mental models and processes of software developers and the usability and improvement of secure development tools. As a result of their work, the aim to provide empirically based recommendations for policy, education, programming language, and tool changes.
Their work has been published in top security conferences and recognized with a best paper award at the USENIX Security Symposium. They received their PhD in computer science in 2023 and their master’s degree in computer science in 2019 from University of Maryland. They received their bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Millersville University in 2017.
