The Environment, Resources and Energy Policy Master’s Program (Non-Thesis) is uniquely interdisciplinary and connected to real-world decision contexts. Meet Quincey Baum ’24, MS ’25, MS ’26
Quincey Baum earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in May 2024. During her undergraduate career, Baum was a key player on the Mines women’s basketball team and a member of the student athlete advisory committee, excelling both in and out of the classroom. She earned her first master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Mines in May 2025. In August 2025, Baum started her second master’s degree in Environment, Resources and Energy Policy at Mines, while continuing as a graduate athlete on the NCAA DII women’s basketball team and the president of the Mines student athlete advisory committee. Baum is dedicated to learning about natural resources and creating a more sustainable world – her Mines education is helping her achieve this goal.
